November wins the windy prize. Storms blow in and stay for awhile -- the leaves are almost all off the trees.
We're entering Thanksgiving and Holiday time, which can be magical in Central Whidbey. Front Street shoppers have a lot to choose from, and a walk out on the Coupeville Wharf can be as refreshing as a post sauna plunge into a lake.
Take advantage of our quiet times, and come spend a few nights in Coupeville, at the Inn at Penn Cove. We have Thai food, Victorian architecture, and the feel of a small town.
We are less than two hours from Seattle and Bellevue -- but provide unlimited walking opportunities. Travel to Whidbey Island guarantees zero regrets....

November is quiet, the pacing is slow, but the weather can be stormy. Today I walked around Fort Casey; the seas were heaving and the wind was fierce, steady, and intimidating.
